The League haemorrhaged as it lost both the short lived North Fife and Frances Colliery. Since then, Juniordom has not moved back to the Coaltown.

In the north of the county, Tayport has since turned Junior, although playing in the Tayside region.

Nationally, the gloom of the preceding season continued, with Glenrothes being the only team past the third round.

There was a notable scalp for the YM, after a 3-0 victory in Springburn. However they bowed out in the next round to the 'lie (although the game was played on a neutral ground).

On a Regional basis, no Fife teams reached the last 8 of the Fife and Lothians.

Oakley won their second Division "A".

Leven from the B Division of the league, took the Cowdenbeath Cup and reached the final in the County competition. Halbeath continued their climb taking the Drybrough Cup and Laidlaw Shield as well as the League Cup. Oakley won the A Division, Kirkcaldy YMCA the B Division and Lochore the Fife Cup. A much reduced 'B' Division Cup was captured by Tullialan.
