Nationally, only Glencraig Colliery lasted long in the Scottish, reaching the fifth round before falling in Ayrshire.

Domestically, the league was carried by Lochore, but two of the bottom three decided that enough was enough, and Markinch and Auchtermuchty ceased at the end of the season. The three main cups were won by three different winners.
